We invite you to come along and help out at the next Working Bee at the Common to continue the great work by our residents.

  DATE:           Saturday 1st April

  TIME:            9am –12 noon

The jobs for the morning will be:
    Paint the Hall external doors.
    Oil the verandah posts.
    The 2 piles of branches and logs behind the Elm Grove need to be moved closer to the Bonfire pile. Some may need to be pulled out by a ute or tractor.
    Level the crusher dust for the base of the water tanks, by machine or rake. Straight edges will be needed for the surface.
    The fine gravel surface in the Hay Shed needs to be spread out and levelled.  A bobcat would be good for this.
    Spray weeds in the carpark. Please bring sprayers.
    Sift the pile of dirt from the ruin for future planting near the Hall.
    Prune along the Elm Grove paths.  The debris can go to the Bonfire.
    Cut and paint the elm growth in the paths (50% poison and 50% water).

Personal equipment
    Hat, water bottle, suitable gloves and protective gear for the job you choose.  Sunscreen will be available.

Tools to bring
    Pruner, secateurs, work shoes/boots, bucket, wheelbarrow.

Machines
    A ute and bobcat or tractor would speed up some of the jobs.

Morning Tea will be provided mid morning.

We know there are interested residents who are unable to assist with the physical jobs, but if you would like to join us for morning tea do come and check out the progress of the building and the development of the Common.
